BIYI ELISHA COLE

Founder

Biyi Elisha Cole is a critically acclaimed writer of novels, poetry, screenplays, and others, known for their richly detailed worlds and unique forms. His debut novel, Held in The Creeks was published in 2012, followed by his poetry anthology Days of Peace. 

He has hosted the inspirational literary/musical show “Paradise Gate Show” for over 14 years..

A renowned lyricist as well, he is the founder of The Paradise Gate House Poetry Foundation— organizers of the Paradise Gate weekly poetry challenge and yearly poetry contest and annual awards— The Praggy Awards (a.k.a The Praggys).

Highly prolific, Biyi Cole has a number of publications to his credit including Days of Peace, When Our Pens Were Younger, Of A Beautiful Hope, Shoutouts To The World, The Day of God, and We Found Rare Gold. He lives in the US.

Oladosu Michael Emerald is a writer, artist, and actor. He is the author of “Every Little Thing That Moves,” an Art editor at Surging Tide magazine and editor at MAAR Review. Instructor at The Arnheim Art Gallery, and YAAH. He is a Best of Net nominee.

He is the winner of the Off the Limit Contest, Sprinng Poetry Contest, GPC Neurodivergent Poetry Contest, and Sine Qua Non Inaugural Poetry Prize.

His works have been published or are forthcoming in Chestnut Review, FIYAH, ONLY POEMS, Lolwe, Temz Review, and elsewhere.

He is the Pioneer Fellow of the Muktar Aliyu Art Residency.

Qudus Olowo

Nigerian poet, rapper, singer, songwriter, editor, and entrepreneur

Qudus Olowo, popularly known as ‘Blacc’ is a Nigerian poet, rapper, singer, songwriter, editor, and entrepreneur.

He is the Founding Editor of Afrihill Press and a former Editorial Intern at Another Chicago Magazine. His works have appeared or are forthcoming in Ake Review, Lolwe, Kalahari Review, Full House, Temz Review, Funicular Magazine, Sunlight Press, Brittle Paper, April Centaur, Consequence Forum, Poetry Column NND, and elsewhere.

He is the author of the micro-chapbook ‘Making Love by the Waterside’ (Afrihill Press, 2023). He was longlisted for the Brigitte Poirson Literature Prize 2024. He was a poetry mentor at the SprinNG Writing Fellowship from 2022 to 2024, a 2025 Rongo Art Residency Artist-in-Residence, and a fellow of The Ugly Collective. Qudus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Ilorin, Kwara.

Olamilekan Wahab

Graphic Designer, Textile Designer, and Poet

Olamilekan Wahab is a graphic designer, textile designer, and poet, drawn to creative writing from the need to express himself in his own way.

His works are largely inspired by themes of identity, shame, and loneliness. He is deeply influenced by the blues form of poetry and authors like Remi Raji, Langston Hughes, Segun Akinlolu, and Nikki Giovanni. He enjoys rap, folk songs and traditional blues.

His works have been featured in ANA Review 2022, NND Poetry Column, Afrorep and ARTmosterrific (Issue 2).

Oluwanishola Ologan is a creative and curious individual with a passion for learning and growth. With a deep interest in art, she express herself through various creative outlets.

Oluwanishola values self-care, positivity, and smart progress, spreading kindness and confidence wherever she go. In her  free time, she enjoy memes and anything that brings a smile to people’s faces.

IMA-ABASI UDO

Creative Writer, Teacher, Poet and Storyteller

IMA-ABASI UDO Ima-abasi Udo, sometimes called TheScribbler is a creative writer, teacher, poet and storyteller.

She hails from Akwa-Ibom State and is of Ibibio tribe. She seeks to unveil her tribe to the literary world by incorporating the language into her stories.

She enjoys art in all forms, bizarre books, unconventional thoughts, deep conversations, fine dining, and laughter.

She has two books penned, A Thousand Ways to Dawn being the second.
